Martijn Klein Horsman (1979) studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Twente and specialized in biomechanics. After receiving his MSc degree Martijn started a PhD project in 2003 within Biomechanical Engineering group at University of Twente. This work resulted in an extensive computer simulation model of the lower extremity aimed to improve safety and predictability of complex musculoskeletal surgery. After receiving his PhD degree in 2007, Martijn worked at the University of Calgary as a postdoctoral researcher in Human Performance Laboratory.
In 2008 Martijn joined the Innovation and Development division of Philips Consumer Lifestyle in Drachten. In his first role as a Function Development Engineer, he developed a computer simulation tool to predict functional performance of Philips Shavers. After that, he worked as technical project leader of a multifunctional team in the field of shaving.
